RIOT Insight, Inc ("we," "us," or "our") operates the RIOT RFID mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We aim to collect only what is needed to operate the App.

  • Information you provide. Login Credentials to the Riot Portal.

  • Device and usage information. We may collect device identifiers, app version, operating system, language settings, and basic usage and diagnostic data (such as features used and crash reports) to keep the App working and to improve it.

  • Camera and scanning data. If the App uses your device scanning hardware to read barcodes or tags, that input is processed to provide the scanning feature.

We do not knowingly collect more data than described above.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, maintain, and operate the App's features;

  • diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve performance and reliability;

  • respond to support requests; and

  • comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:

  • with service providers who process data on our behalf (such as hosting, analytics, or crash reporting), under agreements that limit how they may use it;

  • when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process; or

  • to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or RIOT Insight.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, after which we delete or anonymize it.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under [13 / 16], and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@riotinsight.com. You can also stop all collection by uninstalling the App.

App Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions, which you can manage in your device settings:

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with a new effective date, and we will highlight material changes where appropriate.
